Cedar Ridge Lodge is a full service outdoor adventure lodge catering to a variety of outdoor enthusiasts located around the globe. The lodge is located in North Eastern Ontario between the towns of Kirkland Lake and Matachewan Ontario. Approximately six hours from Toronto and eight hours from Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, Cedar Ridge Lodge is nestled deep in the boreal forest on the shores of Burt Lake. Cedar Ridge offers a dynamic work environment for the right individual looking to advance their skills in the outdoor adventure industry. General description: |
As an Operations Technician you are part of the Cedar Ridge Lodge operations team responsible for outdoor facilities, grounds & guest management services. Main duties include carrying out daily assigned tasks normally associated with a remote lodge operation, communicating requirements / concerns to Operations Manager, maintaining a positive team oriented work environment, ensuring guests are having the time of their life. |

Specific duties : |
- Ensuring grounds are neat & clean at all times. Grass cutting/trimming, fish cleaning stations.
- Marine operations: cleaning boats, gas & oil. Shuttle boats to other lakes
- Perform regular maintenance on all equipment.
- Maintain inventory levels (gas, oil, bait).
- Servicing guests with outdoor requirements i.e. bait replenishment.

- Guide clients during angling excursions.
- Netting minnows with seine net on Bait Harvest Area.
- Bear baiting, assisting with game retrieval, skinning, hanging and freezing.
- Must maintain a positive, team oriented working environment.
- Promote Cedar Ridge Lodge & surrounding areas.

- Positive & upbeat personality
- Good communication skills (clients)
- Skilled at conflict resolution
- Professional well groomed appearance
- Organized and detailed oriented
- Previous work experience and/or have a true passion for the North and the outdoors.
- Familiar with horse’s an asset but not needed.

Must have drivers license
Effectively operate aluminum boat and 9.9 motor safely
Must be strong enough to pick up a 9.9 outboard motor and carry 50 meters.
Must be able to safely back up a trailer.
Fish and game cleaning skills an asset
Angling skills needed
Working commitment from May 1 – September 1. (May be longer)
